Ingredients

2 cups of milk (dairy or non-dairy)

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon dried rose petals (culinary grade)

2 teaspoons loose leaf green tea or 2 green tea bags

2 tablespoons honey or sweetener of choice (adjust to taste)

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

A pinch of salt

Fresh rose petals for garnish (optional)

Instructions

In a small saucepan, heat 1 cup of milk over medium heat until it’s warm but not boiling.

Add the dried rose petals and green tea leaves (or tea bags) to the warm milk. Let it steep for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.

After steeping, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a separate container to remove the tea leaves and rose petals.

In a clean saucepan, combine the strained milk with the remaining cup of milk, vanilla extract, honey (or sweetener), ground cinnamon (if using), and a pinch of salt. Heat gently over medium heat, stirring until fully combined and warm.

Froth the milk using a milk frother or by whisking vigorously in the saucepan until light and frothy.

Pour the frothy vanilla rose milk into a cup or mug, filling it to your desired level.

Garnish with fresh rose petals on top for a beautiful presentation if you like.
