Ingredients

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 tsp cinnamon

20 wonton wrappers

Vegetable oil (for frying)

1/4 cup granulated sugar (for dusting)

Optional: Fresh strawberries or raspberries for serving

Instructions

In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Mix well until smooth and creamy.

Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture into the center of the wrapper.

Moisten the edges of the wonton wrapper with a dab of water. Fold the wrapper diagonally to create a triangle, pressing the edges tightly to seal.

Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or frying pan over medium heat, around 350°F (175°C).

Working in batches, carefully add the wontons to the hot oil. Fry them for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.

Using a slotted spoon, remove the wontons from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

While still warm, dust the wontons with granulated sugar for added sweetness.

Serve the sweet cream cheese wontons warm, optionally with fresh strawberries or raspberries on the side for a fruity contrast.
