Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

½ pound ground pork

1 medium onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

½ cup breadcrumbs

¼ cup milk

1 egg

1 teaspoon ground allspice

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

3 tablespoons butter (for sauce)

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 cup beef broth

½ cup heavy cream

1 tablespoon soy sauce

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prep the Meatballs: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, chopped onion, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, allspice, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.

Form Meatballs: Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. You should get around 20 meatballs.

Cook Meatballs: In a large skillet, heat oil or butter over medium heat. Add the meatballs in batches and cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides. Remove the meatballs and set aside.

Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for about 1 minute until golden. Gradually whisk in the beef broth, heavy cream, and soy sauce, stirring until smooth and thickened.

Combine: Return the cooked meatballs to the skillet, coating them in the sauce. Allow them to simmer for an additional 5-10 minutes until heated through.

Serve: Serve the meatballs with creamy sauce over mashed potatoes or egg noodles and garnish with chopped parsley for a pop of color.
