Ingredients

1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

1 tablespoon honey (or maple syrup for a vegan option)

1 cup milk of your choice (dairy or plant-based)

1 teaspoon matcha powder

2 tablespoons hot water

Ice cubes (optional for iced version)

Whipped cream (optional for garnish)

Fresh mint leaves (optional for garnish)

Instructions

Start by preparing the strawberry purée. In a blender, add the sliced strawberries and honey. Blend until smooth. If desired, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds for a smoother texture.

In a small bowl, whisk the matcha powder with hot water until fully dissolved and frothy. You can use a matcha whisk or a regular whisk for this.

In a separate saucepan, heat the milk of your choice over medium heat until warm but not boiling. Remove from heat.

If you're making an iced latte, fill a glass with ice cubes. Pour the strawberry purée into the bottom of the glass.

Slowly add the warm milk on top of the strawberry purée, allowing it to create a lovely layer.

For a hot latte, simply pour the strawberry purée into a mug and then top it with warm milk.

Drizzle the matcha mixture on top of the milk, creating a beautiful layered effect. Use a spoon to gently stir if you prefer a mixed flavor.

Optionally, top with whipped cream and garnish with fresh mint leaves for a decorative touch.
