Ingredients

4 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced

4 cups water

4 tablespoons black tea leaves (or 4 black tea bags)

1 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the tea leaves or tea bags. Let steep for about 5 minutes, then remove tea bags or strain the leaves.

After removing the tea, add the sliced peaches and sugar to the warm tea. Stir until the sugar dissolves and the peaches begin to soften.

Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature, then stir in the lemon juice and vanilla extract.

Pour the mixture into a blender and blend until smooth. If you prefer a chunkier texture, blend to your liking.

Strain the blended tea through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a pitcher to remove the peach pulp, pressing gently to extract as much liquid as possible.

Chill the peach tea in the refrigerator for at least 1-2 hours before serving.

Serve over ice, garnished with fresh mint leaves and additional peach slices if desired.
