The best sloppy joe dip starts with ground beef. Ground turkey or chicken can work too, but beef brings more flavor. I love using 1 pound of ground beef for a rich taste.

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 medium yellow onion, diced

1 green bell pepper, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup ketchup

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup sour cream

Tortilla chips or crusty bread for serving

Instructions

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Add diced onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.

Stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, chili powder, smoked paprika, and season with salt and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Lower the heat and add the softened cream cheese, stirring until well combined and melted.

Mix in the shredded cheddar cheese and sour cream until creamy and fully incorporated.

Taste and adjust seasoning if needed, then remove from heat.

Transfer the dip to a serving dish and garnish with additional cheese or chopped herbs if desired, to add visual appeal.

                Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 6-8

                  - Presentation Tips: Serve the dip warm with a side of tortilla chips or alongside slices of crusty bread for dipping. For added flair, sprinkle with chopped green onions or fresh parsley before serving.
