Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1/2 pound ground pork

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

1/4 cup milk

1 egg

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon allspice

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

2 tablespoons butter (for frying)

2 cups beef broth

1 cup heavy cream

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional for thickening)

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, egg, garlic, salt, pepper, allspice, nutmeg, and parsley. Mix until evenly combined.

Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. This should yield approximately 24 meatballs.

Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Once melted, add the meatballs in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for about 7–10 minutes, turning them occasionally until they are nicely browned on all sides and cooked through. Remove the meatballs from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add beef broth and bring to a simmer, scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the pan for extra flavor. Stir in the heavy cream and soy sauce.

If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch with a tablespoon of water to create a slurry, and stir it into the sauce until well incorporated. Allow it to simmer for another 5 minutes until it thickens slightly.

Return the browned meatballs to the skillet, coating them gently in the creamy sauce. Let them simmer together for an additional 5 minutes to combine flavors.

Taste and adjust seasoning if needed, adding more salt or pepper according to your preference.

                Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 40 minutes | Servings: 4-6

                  - Presentation Tips: Serve the meatballs on a large platter, drizzled with the creamy sauce, and garnish with additional chopped parsley. Pair with boiled potatoes or egg noodles for a classic Swedish meal.
