Ingredients

1 lb sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes

8 oz large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

¼ cup soy sauce (low-sodium preferred)

2 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Cooked rice or noodles (for serving)

Instructions

Marinate Steak: In a bowl, combine the cubed steak with soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, grated ginger, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes for the flavors to penetrate.

Prep Shrimp: While the steak is marinating, season the shrimp with a pinch of salt and pepper, and set aside.

Cook Steak: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted and bubbling, add the marinated steak bites in a single layer. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned and medium-rare. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside, keeping warm.

Cook Shrimp: In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. When melted, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Next, add the shrimp to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the shrimp are pink and opaque.

Combine: Return the cooked steak to the skillet, then pour the remaining marinade (if there’s any left) over the steak and shrimp. Toss everything together to coat in the glaze, cooking for an additional minute to warm through.

Serve: Serve the savory steak bites and shrimp over cooked rice or noodles, garnishing with sliced green onions for a fresh finish.

              Prep Time: 30 min | Total Time: 1 hr | Servings: 4

                - Presentation Tips: Plate the dish in a large serving bowl, adding some extra green onions on top and a drizzle of the garlic butter sauce for an elegant touch. You can also add a side of steamed broccoli or snap peas for color and nutrition!
