1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

2 tablespoons olive oil

Zest of 1 lime

3 tablespoons fresh lime juice

1 tablespoon honey

Salt and pepper to taste

2 green onions, chopped, for garnish

Fresh cilantro, chopped, for garnish

Instructions
 

In a medium bowl, combine the lime zest, lime juice, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes to create a marinade. Mix well.

    Add the shrimp to the marinade, ensuring they are evenly coated. Allow to marinate for at least 15 minutes at room temperature.

      Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

        Once the oil is hot, add the marinated shrimp along with the marinade to the skillet.

          Sauté the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and opaque. Be careful not to overcook.

            Season with salt and pepper to taste, and remove from heat.

              Transfer the shrimp to a serving platter and garnish with chopped green onions and fresh cilantro.
