Instructions
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat up.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a circular shape (about 12 inches in diameter) or shape it to fit your baking sheet.
Carefully remove the hot pizza stone or baking sheet from the oven and place the rolled-out dough on it.
Spread the marinara sauce evenly over the surface of the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
Layer the fresh mozzarella slices evenly over the marinara sauce.
Scatter the halved cherry tomatoes over the pizza, adding them as evenly as possible.
Drizzle the olive oil over the top and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Bake the pizza in the hot oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
Once done, remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a minute.
Scatter fresh basil leaves over the pizza and drizzle with balsamic glaze if using.
Slice and serve immediately, enjoying the fresh flavors!
