Ingredients

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 ¼ cups granulated sugar

1 large egg

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

½ teaspoon almond extract

1 tablespoon buttermilk

Pink food coloring (gel or liquid, to achieve desired shade)

1 cup white chocolate chips

½ cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes).

Add the egg, vanilla extract, almond extract, and buttermilk to the butter mixture and mix until well combined.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Add the pink food coloring a little at a time, mixing until you reach your desired pink shade. Fold in the white chocolate chips until evenly distributed.

Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.

Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once cooled, lightly dust the cookies with powdered sugar for an extra sweet finish.

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 24 cookies
