4 ripe Roma tomatoes, diced

1 medium red onion, finely chopped

1 jalapeño pepper, deseeded and minced

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Juice of 2 limes

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 tsp cumin (optional for a smoky flavor)

Start by dicing the Roma tomatoes into small cubes and placing them in a large mixing bowl.

    Finely chop the red onion and add it to the bowl with the tomatoes.

      Deseed and mince the jalapeño pepper, adding it to the mixture. Adjust the amount based on your spice preference.

        Chop the fresh cilantro and mix it in with the other ingredients.
