Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 green bell pepper, diced

1 medium onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup sliced mushrooms (optional)

1 cup provolone cheese, shredded

4 hamburger buns

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms (if using) to the skillet. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are soft.

Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.

Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef to the skillet. Break it apart with a spatula and cook until browned, about 5-6 minutes.

Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper, mixing everything thoroughly. Let it cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to combine.

Reduce the heat to low, then sprinkle the shredded provolone cheese over the beef mixture. Cover the skillet with a lid and let it sit for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted.

While the cheese is melting, lightly toast the hamburger buns in a separate pan or toaster.

Once the cheese has melted and the buns are ready, spoon the Philly cheesesteak mixture into each bun.

Garnish with chopped parsley for a fresh touch before serving.
