Ingredients

12 oz pappardelle pasta

1 lb ground beef

1/2 lb ground pork

1/2 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup fresh spinach, chopped

1 egg

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce

2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Meatball Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, ricotta cheese, minced garlic, chopped spinach, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper. Mix well until evenly incorporated.

Stuff the Meatballs: Take a small portion of the meat mixture (about the size of a golf ball) and flatten it in your palm. Place a small amount of shredded mozzarella cheese in the center and fold the meat around it to form a ball. Repeat until all the mixture is used.

Bake the Meatballs: Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the stuffed meatballs and sear them on all sides until browned (about 5 minutes). Then transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through.

Cook the Pappardelle: While the meatballs are baking, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pappardelle pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Combine with Marinara Sauce: In a large pan, heat the marinara sauce over medium heat. Once warmed, gently add the cooked pappardelle pasta into the sauce, tossing to coat.

Serve: Once the meatballs are finished baking, add them to the pan with the pasta and sauce. Toss gently to combine.

Garnish: Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil over the top before serving.

                  Prep Time: 20 min | Total Time: 50 min | Servings: 4

                    - Presentation Tips: Serve in deep bowls, garnished with extra basil leaves and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. A drizzle of olive oil can enhance the appearance and flavor.
