Mocha Madness Tiramisu

1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

1 tablespoon espresso powder

3 large eggs, separated

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1 cup mascarpone cheese, softened

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream

20 ladyfinger cookies

Dark chocolate shavings (for garnish)

Instructions
 

In a small bowl, mix the brewed coffee, cocoa powder, and espresso powder until fully combined. Set aside to cool if it's still warm.

    In a large mixing bowl, whisk the egg yolks with sugar until the mixture becomes light and creamy, about 5 minutes.

      Add the mascarpone cheese and vanilla extract to the egg yolk mixture. Whisk until smooth and well combined.

        In another mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture, being careful not to deflate the cream.

          In a separate clean bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Carefully fold the beaten egg whites into the mascarpone-cream mixture until just combined.

            Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy. Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of a serving dish or individual cups.

              Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers, smoothing it out evenly.

                Repeat the layering with another layer of soaked ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture.

                  Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best flavor and texture.

                    Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and sprinkle dark chocolate shavings for a decorative touch.
