Ingredients

1 teaspoon high-quality matcha powder

1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy of your choice)

1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (adjust based on sweetness preference)

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch of sea salt

1/2 cup hot water (not boiling)

Optional: cocoa powder or cinnamon for dusting

Instructions

Sift the Matcha: In a small bowl, sift the matcha powder to avoid any clumps for a smoother drink.

Add Hot Water: Pour the hot water over the sifted matcha. Using a bamboo whisk (chasen), whisk the matcha vigorously in a 'W' motion until it becomes frothy, approximately 30 seconds.

Heat the Milk: In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium-low heat until it begins to steam, but do not let it boil. Alternatively, you can froth it using a milk frother.

Sweeten the Milk: Stir in the honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt into the steamed milk until well combined.

Combine: Gently pour the frothed milk over the whisked matcha in a cup. Start from the center and move outward to create a pleasing design, if you like.

Dust (Optional): Sprinkle cocoa powder or cinnamon on top for an extra flavor dimension and visual appeal.

Serve Immediately: Enjoy your Matcha Wonderland Cappuccino while it’s warm!
