Ingredients

1 lb kielbasa or smoked sausage

1/4 cup maple syrup

1/4 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon olive oil

Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Rinse the kielbasa under cold water and pat dry. Place it on a cutting board.

Using a sharp knife, carefully slice the kielbasa lengthwise, making cuts about 1/4 inch apart, stopping about 1/4 inch from the bottom to create a Hasselback effect.

In a small bowl, mix together the maple syrup, BBQ sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper until well combined.

Place the sliced kielbasa onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle the olive oil over the sausage.

Pour the maple BBQ sauce mixture evenly over the kielbasa, making sure it seeps into the cuts.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the kielbasa is heated through and caramelized, basting with the sauce halfway through the cooking time for added flavor.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes before slicing into bite-sized pieces.

Serve warm and sprinkle with chopped parsley for a pop of color.

                    Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 35 minutes | Servings: 4-6

                      - Presentation Tips: Arrange the kielbasa bites on a rustic wooden board for a casual feel, or serve them on a vibrant platter with toothpicks for easy eating at gatherings. Add some extra sauce on the side for dipping!
