Ingredients

2 cups ricotta cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 cups marinara sauce

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/2 pound ground beef or Italian sausage (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Sliced baguette or tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

If using meat, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef or sausage, and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary, and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.

In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, and half of the Parmesan cheese. Mix well until smooth.

In a baking dish, spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom.

Dollop half of the ricotta mixture on top of the sauce and spread it out gently.

Pour half of the remaining marinara sauce over the ricotta layer.

Add the cooked meat mixture (if using) on top of the sauce layer.

Repeat the layers: add more of the ricotta mixture, followed by the remaining marinara sauce, and finish with the rest of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on the top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Once out of the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, then garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.

                      Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 50 minutes | Servings: 6-8

                        - Presentation Tips: Serve the lasagna dip in the baking dish with sliced baguette or tortilla chips placed around it for dipping. A sprinkle of fresh basil on top will add a burst of color and fragrance!
