Ingredients

1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 egg

1 can (8 oz) pineapple slices in juice, drained and chopped

1 package (8 oz) King's Hawaiian Sweet Rolls

1/4 cup shredded coconut (optional)

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 cup powdered sugar (for drizzling)

1 tablespoon milk (for drizzling)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and egg. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy.

Gently fold in the chopped pineapple and shredded coconut (if using) into the cream cheese mixture until well blended.

Take the King's Hawaiian Sweet Rolls and carefully open them to create a pocket without separating them completely.

Spread a generous spoonful of the cream cheese and pineapple filling into each pocket of the rolls.

Arrange the filled rolls in the prepared baking dish, sprinkling cinnamon over the top of the rolls for an added flavor boost.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and the filling is bubbly.

While the danish is baking, prepare the drizzle by mixing the powdered sugar and milk in a small bowl until smooth.

Once baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Drizzle the prepared icing over the top of the danish for a sweet finishing touch.
