In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, almond flour, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined, then form the mixture into meatballs about 1 inch in diameter.
In a skillet over medium heat, add a little olive oil. Cook the meatballs in batches, turning to brown all sides. This should take about 4-5 minutes per batch. Once browned, transfer the meatballs to a baking dish.
Pour the marinara sauce over the meatballs, ensuring they are well covered.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top of the casserole.
Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
