Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.

Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the onion is translucent.

Stir in the smoked paprika, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Cook for another minute to combine flavors. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

In a mixing bowl, combine the beef mixture with the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese until well blended.

Open the package of crescent roll dough and carefully separate the triangles. Place a spoonful of the beef and cheese mixture at the wide end of each triangle.

Roll up the croissants starting from the wide end towards the point, sealing the filling inside. Place the croissants on the lined baking sheet with the point side down.

Brush the tops of the croissants with the beaten egg to give them a golden finish when baked.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown and flaky.

Remove the croissants from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired.

Prep Time: 15 min | Total Time: 30 min | Servings: 8 croissants
