Ingredients

1 tablespoon dried butterfly pea flowers

1 cup boiling water

1 cup milk of choice (almond, oat, or dairy)

1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Ice cubes

Optional: edible flowers or mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

In a heatproof bowl, steep the dried butterfly pea flowers in boiling water for about 10 minutes, allowing the vibrant blue color to infuse into the water. Strain the tea into a glass and let it cool.

While the tea is cooling, in another container, combine the milk, honey or agave syrup, and vanilla extract. Mix well until fully combined.

Fill a glass with ice cubes, and pour the cooled butterfly pea tea over the ice.

Slowly add the milk mixture on top of the tea. The creaminess of the milk will create a beautiful ombre effect.

Stir gently before drinking, or leave it layered for a visually stunning presentation.

Optional: Garnish with edible flowers or a sprig of mint for a pop of color.
