12 mozzarella cheese sticks

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs, beaten

1 cup breadcrumbs

1 cup crushed Hot Cheetos

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon oregano

Salt and pepper to taste

Start by preparing the cheese sticks. Cut each mozzarella stick in half if you prefer smaller bites.

    Set up your breading station: In one bowl, place the flour. In a second bowl, add the beaten eggs. In a third bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, crushed Hot Cheetos, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.

      Take each cheese stick and coat it first in the flour, ensuring it is covered evenly. Tap off any excess flour.

        Next, dip the floured cheese stick into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off.

          Finally, roll the cheese stick in the Hot Cheeto breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure it adheres well. Repeat with all the cheese sticks.

            Place the breaded cheese sticks on a baking sheet and freeze for at least 30 minutes. This will help prevent them from melting too quickly while frying.

              In a large pot or deep fryer, heat oil over medium-high heat (about 350°F or 175°C). Ensure there is enough oil for the sticks to float while frying.

                Fry the frozen cheese sticks in batches for about 2-3 minutes until they are golden brown and crispy. Carefully remove them with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

                  Allow the mozzarella sticks to cool for a couple of minutes before serving.
