Ingredients

4 slices of rustic sourdough bread

1 large ripe peach, sliced

1 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded

2 tablespoons honey

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

Fresh basil leaves (optional for garnish)

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preheat the Grill: Preheat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat.

Prepare the Bread: Spread a thin layer of softened butter on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.

Layer the Cheese: On the unbuttered side of two slices, sprinkle a generous portion of shredded white cheddar cheese.

Add Peaches and Honey: Layer the peach slices evenly over the cheese, then drizzle with honey. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.

Top it Off: Sprinkle another layer of white cheddar cheese on top of the peaches, and then place the other two slices of bread (buttered side out) on top.

Grill the Sandwich: Place the sandwiches in the preheated skillet or grill pan. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Carefully flip and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes, pressing down gently to ensure the cheese melts.

Serve: Once the sandwiches are golden and the cheese is melty, remove from the heat. Let them cool slightly, then slice in half.

Garnish: For an extra touch, garnish with fresh basil leaves.
