Ingredients

1 lb (450g) sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces

2 cups cooked jasmine rice

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup honey

3 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

1 cup broccoli florets

1/2 cup green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Salt and pepper to taste

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Steak: Season the steak pieces with salt and pepper. Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Sear the Steak: Add the steak to the skillet in a single layer. Sear for about 3-4 minutes, or until browned on all sides but not fully cooked. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.

Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Add Honey and Soy Sauce: Stir in the honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes (if using). Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.

Combine Everything: Return the seared steak to the skillet along with the cooked rice and broccoli florets. Stir well to combine, ensuring everything is coated in the honey garlic sauce. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, until the broccoli is tender and the steak is cooked to your liking.

Garnish: Once everything is thoroughly mixed and heated, remove from heat. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

              Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 25 minutes | Servings: 4

                - Presentation Tips: Serve the skillet dish directly from the pan for a rustic look, or plate the rice and steak mixture in a bowl, garnished with extra green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds on top.
