Ingredients

2 tablespoons chili powder

1 tablespoon ground cumin

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 tablespoon paprika (smoked for extra flavor)

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon sugar (optional for a hint of sweetness)

Instructions

In a medium mixing bowl, combine chili powder, ground cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.

Add the dried oregano, crushed red pepper flakes, salt, black pepper, and sugar to the bowl.

Whisk all the ingredients together until they are well blended and evenly combined.

Transfer the taco seasoning mix to an airtight container or spice jar.

Optionally, label the container with the date and contents. This seasoning will last up to six months when stored in a cool, dark place.

To use, add about 2 tablespoons of the seasoning mix to each pound of ground meat, beans, or vegetables during cooking. Add water as needed to help the seasoning incorporate fully.

Prep Time: 5 mins | Total Time: 5 mins | Servings: Makes about 8 servings

                - Presentation Tips: Serve in a small bowl with a mini wooden spoon for a rustic touch. Pair it with your homemade tacos for that authentic fiesta feel!
