Ingredients

1 cup water

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

4 large eggs

1 cup heavy cream

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Optional: Chocolate drizzle for garnish

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium saucepan, combine the water and unsalted butter. Heat over medium heat until the butter is fully melted.

Stir in the all-purpose flour and salt all at once, mixing vigorously with a wooden spoon or spatula until the mixture forms a ball and pulls away from the sides of the pan (about 1-2 minutes).

Remove from heat and let it cool for about 5 minutes.

Once cooled slightly, add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until fully incorporated and the dough is smooth and glossy.

Using a pastry bag or a spoon, scoop small mounds of dough (about 1-2 inches in size) onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each puff.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown. Avoid opening the oven door during baking as this can cause them to deflate.

While the puffs are baking, whip the heavy cream in a mixing bowl with the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.

Once the cream puffs are baked, remove them from the oven and let them cool completely on a wire rack.

Once cooled, slice the tops off each puff and gently fill with the whipped cream mixture. Replace the tops, or you can drizzle chocolate on top for an added treat.

                        - Presentation Tips: Arrange the cream puffs on a beautiful serving platter, dust with additional powdered sugar, and drizzle with melted chocolate for an elegant touch.
