Ingredients

1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed if frozen)

150g cooked ham, chopped

100g shredded cheese (Gruyère or Cheddar)

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 egg (for egg wash)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet to smooth out any creases. Cut the pastry into squares, approximately 10cm x 10cm (4 inches x 4 inches).

In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped ham, shredded cheese, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Place about a tablespoon of the ham and cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.

Fold the pastry square over to form a triangle and press the edges to seal. Use a fork to crimp the edges for an extra seal and decorative finish.

Beat the egg in a small bowl to create an egg wash. Brush the tops of each pastry with the egg wash to achieve a golden crust.

Transfer the prepared pastries onto the lined baking tray and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up.

Once baked, remove from the oven and let them cool slightly. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
