Ingredients

1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed

200g cooked ham, finely chopped

150g Gruyère cheese, grated

100g cream cheese, softened

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: sesame seeds for topping

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet to smooth any creases, then cut it into 4 equal squares.

In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped ham, grated Gruyère cheese, cream cheese, Dijon mustard, and chopped chives. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Place about 2 tablespoons of the ham and cheese mixture in the center of each puff pastry square, keeping a little space around the edges.

Fold each pastry square into a triangle, sealing the edges tightly by pressing down with a fork to ensure the filling doesn’t leak out.

Brush the top of each pastry with the beaten egg. If desired, sprinkle sesame seeds on top for added crunch and flavor.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up.

Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.

                  Prep Time: 15 mins | Total Time: 35 mins | Servings: 4

                    - Presentation Tips: Arrange the pastries on a rustic wooden board, garnished with additional fresh chives for a pop of color. Serve warm with a side of spicy mustard or a light salad to balance the richness.
