Ingredients

500g ground beef

200g ground pork

1 medium onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

100g breadcrumbs

1 large egg

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon mustard (Dijon works well)

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and black pepper to taste

2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef and ground pork.

Add the finely chopped onion and minced garlic to the meat mixture.

Stir in the breadcrumbs, egg, chopped parsley, mustard, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Once the mixture is evenly blended, form it into small patties, about 5 cm in diameter and 1-2 cm thick, pressing them gently to hold their shape.

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add the patties to the skillet in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are nicely browned and cooked through.

Once cooked, transfer the Frikadellen to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

                Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 4

                  - Presentation Tips: Serve the Frikadellen on a platter garnished with fresh parsley and accompanied by a side of potato salad and mustard for dipping. Add pickles for extra tang!
