12 ounces ramen noodles or your favorite noodles

1 pound flank steak, sliced thinly against the grain

6 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon sesame oil

2 green onions, chopped

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Zest of 1 lime

Instructions
 

Cook the Noodles: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, tossing with a little bit of sesame oil to prevent sticking.

    Prepare the Steak: In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Season the sliced flank steak with salt and black pepper. Once the skillet is hot, add the steak in a single layer. Sear for 2-3 minutes without stirring, allowing it to get a nice crust. Flip and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until just cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

      Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the remaining 4 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using). Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.

        Combine Ingredients: Add the cooked noodles and steak back into the skillet with the garlic butter sauce. Pour in the soy sauce, tossing everything together until evenly coated and heated through, about 2 minutes.

          Finish and Garnish: Remove from heat, sprinkle with chopped green onions, cilantro, and lime zest. Toss to combine.
