Ingredients

8 oz fresh udon noodles

1 lb sirloin steak, thinly sliced

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

5 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1 red bell pepper, julienned

1 cup sugar snap peas, trimmed

3 green onions, chopped

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

Cook the Noodles: In a large pot, boil water and cook the udon noodles according to package instructions, usually about 3-5 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Steak: Season the thinly sliced sirloin steak with salt and pepper. In a large skillet or wok, heat 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Once melted, add the steak and sear for 2-3 minutes until browned and just cooked through. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.

Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.

Add Vegetables: Toss in the julienned red bell pepper and sugar snap peas. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the veggies are tender-crisp.

Combine Ingredients: Return the cooked steak to the skillet along with the drained udon noodles. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Toss everything together gently to combine until the noodles are heated through and all ingredients are coated in the sauce, about 2-3 minutes.

Finish and Serve: Stir in the chopped green onions and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot with sprinkles of sesame seeds on top for garnish.
