A garlic butter lobster tail recipe needs a few key ingredients. First, you need fresh lobster tails. I often choose two medium-sized tails. Fresh lobster tail vs frozen can change the taste. Fresh tails have a sweet, briny flavor. Frozen tails can still taste great if thawed properly.

Ingredients

2 lobster tails

1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon lemon zest

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Carefully split the lobster tails in half lengthwise using kitchen shears, exposing the meat but leaving it attached at the end. Place the lobster tails on a baking sheet, cut side up.

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not burnt.

Stir in the chopped parsley, lemon zest, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine all the flavors.

Generously brush the garlic butter mixture over the exposed lobster meat. Reserve any leftover butter for basting during cooking.

Bake the lobster tails in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the lobster meat is opaque and has reached an internal temperature of 140°F (60°C). Baste with the reserved garlic butter halfway through cooking for added flavor.

Once done, remove from the oven and allow cooling for a couple of minutes before serving.

                  Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 2
