Ingredients

12 oz (340g) frozen or homemade meatballs

1 cup marinara sauce

4 hoagie rolls

8 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a skillet over medium heat, warm the marinara sauce. Add the meatballs, cover, and cook until heated through, about 10-12 minutes. Stir occasionally.

While the meatballs are cooking, prepare the garlic butter. In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix until well blended.

Slice each hoagie roll lengthwise, ensuring not to cut all the way through. Spread a generous amount of garlic butter inside each roll.

Place the opened rolls on a baking sheet and toast them in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are golden brown.

Once the toast is ready, take them out of the oven. Spoon a few meatballs along with marinara sauce into each roll.

Top each filled sub with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese and a generous handful of mozzarella cheese.

Return the loaded subs to the oven and bake for an additional 5-8 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove from the oven and let cool for a minute. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.

                    Prep Time: 15 min | Total Time: 35 min | Servings: 4

                      - Presentation Tips: Serve the meatball subs on a rustic wooden board, garnish with extra basil, and offer a side of marinara sauce for dipping.
