1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup cookie dough (your favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe or store-bought)

Instructions
 

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.

    In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder. Set aside.

      In a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined.

        Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, followed by the vanilla extract.

          Gradually stir in the dry ingredients until no flour streaks remain. Fold in the chocolate chips.

            Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, smoothing it out to create an even layer.

              Spoon dollops of cookie dough on top of the brownie batter, gently pressing them down slightly to ensure they meld together.

                Pour the remaining brownie batter over the cookie dough, spreading it carefully so it completely covers the dough.

                  Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

                    Allow the brookies to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before using the parchment overhang to lift them out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

                      Once cooled, slice into squares and enjoy the fudgy, chewy goodness!
