to tasteoptional toppings: fresh berries, whipped cream, maple syrup, or chocolate sauce
Instructions
Preheat your Belgian waffle maker according to manufacturer instructions.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
In another bowl, beat the eggs and then add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. The batter should be lumpy; do not overmix.
Lightly grease the preheated waffle maker with cooking spray or a little melted butter.
Pour enough batter into the waffle maker to just cover the waffle grid, close the lid, and cook according to the manufacturer's instructions until the waffles are golden brown and crisp. This usually takes about 4-5 minutes.
Once cooked, carefully remove the waffles and place them on a wire rack to keep them crisp while you cook the remaining batches.
Serve warm with your choice of toppings, such as fresh berries, whipped cream, maple syrup, or drizzled chocolate sauce.
