Ingredients

4 cups water

4 black tea bags

1 large orange, sliced

2-3 cinnamon sticks

1/4 cup honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)

Ice cubes

Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

In a medium saucepan, bring the water to a boil over medium heat.

Once boiling, remove the pan from heat and add the black tea bags. Let them steep for about 5 minutes for a rich flavor.

After steeping, remove the tea bags and stir in the honey or agave syrup until fully dissolved.

Add the sliced orange and cinnamon sticks to the tea and let it steep and cool for at least 30 minutes at room temperature.

Once cooled, transfer the tea mixture to a pitcher. Remove the cinnamon sticks and strain out the orange slices if desired, or leave them in for added flavor.

Refrigerate the iced tea until you're ready to serve it, preferably for at least 1 hour.

To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled orange cinnamon tea over the ice.

Garnish with fresh mint leaves and a slice of orange, if desired.
