Ingredients

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

½ cup granulated sugar

½ cup packed brown sugar

1 large egg

2 tablespoons buttermilk (or milk mixed with vinegar for a substitute)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon red food coloring

1 cup white chocolate chips

½ cup cream cheese frosting (store-bought or homemade)

Optional: Sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

Add Egg and Color: Mix in the egg, buttermilk, vanilla extract, and red food coloring until fully combined.

Combine Dry and Wet Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to over mix.

Fold in the Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the white chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Scoop the Dough: Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake the Cookies: Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the tops are slightly cracked. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Frost the Cookies: Once completely cooled, pipe or spread cream cheese frosting on top of each cookie.

Decorate: If desired, add sprinkles on top of the frosting for an extra festive touch.

Prep Time: 20 mins | Total Time: 40 mins | Servings: 12 cookies

                        - Presentation Tips: Arrange the cookies on a decorative platter or serving tray. You can add a few extra sprinkles around them for a festive look. Enjoy with a glass of milk!
