1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)

½ cup grated Asiago cheese

1 large egg

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    In a shallow bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, grated Asiago cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until combined.

      In another bowl, beat the egg. Place the flour in a third bowl.

        Take each asparagus spears, dip it into the flour to coat lightly, then dip it into the beaten egg, allowing any excess to drip off.

          Finally, roll the asparagus in the breadcrumb and cheese mixture, pressing gently to ensure the mixture sticks well.
