8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 green onion, finely chopped

1 clove garlic, minced

1 teaspoon soy sauce

1/2 teaspoon sesame oil

1 package of wonton wrappers (about 50 pieces)

Vegetable oil for frying

Sweet chili sauce for serving (optional)

Instructions
 

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, chopped green onion, minced garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well until smooth and creamy.

    Lay out a wonton wrapper on a clean, dry surface. Place about 1 teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture in the center of the wrapper.

      Moisten the edges of the wrapper with a little water using your finger. Fold the wrapper in half diagonally to form a triangle and press the edges firmly to seal.

        For an extra decorative touch, you can crimp the edges with a fork or your fingers to ensure they are sealed well.

          Repeat the process with the remaining wrappers and filling until all are filled.

            In a deep pan or fryer, heat the vegetable oil to about 350°F (175°C).

              Carefully add the wontons to the hot oil in batches, frying them for about 3-4 minutes until they are golden brown and crispy.

                Remove the wontons from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.

                  Allow them to cool slightly before serving.
