Ingredients
1
sheet
puff pastry, thawed
8
ounces
Brie cheese, cut into small cubes
0.5
cup
cranberry sauce
1
egg
beaten (for egg wash)
1
tablespoon
fresh rosemary, finely chopped (optional)
to taste
salt and pepper
optional
sesame seeds for topping
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet to smooth it out. Cut the pastry into 4x4 inch squares.
In the center of each square, place a small cube of Brie cheese and a teaspoon of cranberry sauce.
If using, sprinkle a pinch of fresh rosemary over the cranberry sauce for added flavor.
Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling to form a pouch, pinching the edges to seal them tightly.
Place the sealed pastries on the prepared baking sheet, seam side down. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
Sprinkle a few sesame seeds on top if desired, and season with a bit of salt and pepper.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the pastries are puffed and golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve on a rustic wooden board or a white platter, garnished with rosemary and cranberry sauce for dipping.
