Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 cup buttermilk

1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick), melted

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon onion powder

Optional: additional melted butter for brushing

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and onion powder until well combined.

Create a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the buttermilk, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to over-mix; the dough should be slightly sticky.

In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter with fresh parsley. Set aside the butter-infused mixture for later use.

Once the dough has come together, turn it onto a lightly floured countertop and gently knead it for about 1 minute, forming a soft dough.

Roll out the dough to about 1-inch thick and cut it into rounds using a biscuit cutter or a glass. You can gather the scraps and roll them out again to create more biscuits.

Pour half of the melted parsley butter into a 9x13-inch baking dish, coating the bottom evenly.

Place the biscuit rounds into the dish, ensuring they are touching each other for that soft, swim texture.

Pour the remaining melted parsley butter all over the biscuits, ensuring they are well coated.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown on the top.

Remove the biscuits from the oven and brush with additional melted butter if desired.

                        Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 35 minutes | Servings: 10

                          - Presentation Tips: Serve the biscuits warm in a rustic basket lined with a checked cloth, garnished with a few sprigs of parsley on top for added color. Enjoy with a side of your favorite jam or honey!
