1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup brown sugar, packed

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)

1 cup mini marshmallows

½ cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

    In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

      Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.

        In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.

          Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.

            Fold in the chocolate chips and mini marshmallows, making sure they are evenly distributed.

              Using a tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

                To create the marshmallow swirl effect, gently press a few additional mini marshmallows on top of each cookie ball.

                  Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are set, and the centers are slightly soft.

                    Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

                      Once cooled, dust the cookies lightly with powdered sugar for an appealing finish.
