Ingredients

3 ripe bananas, mashed

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons instant espresso powder

1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/4 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Mix until well combined.

Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and instant espresso powder.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, folding gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts (if using) until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.

Bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. If the top begins to brown too quickly, cover it loosely with aluminum foil.

Once baked, remove the loaf from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 1 hour 20 minutes | Servings: 10 slices

                      - Presentation Tips: Slice the banana bread and serve warm with a dollop of whipped cream on top or drizzle with melted chocolate for an elegant finish. Garnish with a sprinkle of cocoa powder or finely chopped nuts for added texture.
