Ingredients

1 cup cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)

1/4 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and unsalted butter until smooth and creamy.

Add the granulated sugar and brown sugar to the mixture and continue beating until well combined and fluffy.

Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and white chocolate chips (if using) until evenly distributed.

Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded spoonfuls of the cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each for spreading.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden but the centers are still soft.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool on the baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Dust the cooled cookies with powdered sugar before serving for an extra touch.
