Ingredients

1 large baguette or French bread

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt to taste

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Mix until well combined.

Slice the baguette in half lengthwise. Place the halves cut-side up on a baking sheet.

Spread the garlic butter mixture generously over the cut sides of the bread.

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the buttered bread.

Season the cheese with a little salt to taste.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges of the bread are golden.

For an extra crispy finish, broil the bread for an additional 1-2 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.

Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool for a minute before slicing into pieces.
