Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

6 slices of crispy bacon, chopped

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

½ cup heavy cream

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon honey

Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

Sear the chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown but not fully cooked through. Remove from heat and transfer to a baking dish.

In the same skillet, add the chopped bacon and cook until crispy. Once cooked, drain excess fat, but leave about 1 tablespoon in the pan.

Lower the heat and add the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and honey to the skillet with the bacon. Stir well to combine and let simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.

Pour the mustard sauce over the chicken breasts in the baking dish, ensuring they’re well coated.

Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese generously on top of the chicken and sauce.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked (internal temperature of 165°F / 74°C) and the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Once done, remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
