Ingredients

1 lb beef chuck, finely chopped

1 medium onion, finely diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 medium tomatoes, diced

1 green bell pepper, finely chopped

1 tablespoon ground cumin

1 tablespoon chili powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon oregano

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

8 small corn tortillas

Fresh cilantro, chopped, for garnish

Avocado slices, for topping

Instructions

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

Add the diced onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute, until fragrant.

Add the finely chopped beef chuck to the skillet. Cook, stirring frequently, until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.

Stir in the diced tomatoes, green bell pepper, ground cumin, chili powder, smoked paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.

Cook the mixture over medium heat for about 10 minutes, allowing flavors to meld and the bell pepper to soften.

While the meat mixture is cooking, warm the corn tortillas in a separate skillet over low heat until pliable.

To serve, spoon the carne picada mixture onto each tortilla. Top with fresh cilantro and avocado slices. Enjoy while warm!
