Ingredients

4 large yellow onions, thinly sliced

6 strips of bacon, chopped

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup sour cream

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh chives or parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Once cooked, remove the bacon and place it on paper towels to drain, leaving the bacon fat in the skillet.

Add the olive oil to the skillet with the bacon fat, and then add the sliced onions. Sauté the onions for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are nicely caramelized and golden brown. Add the minced garlic during the last 2 minutes of cooking.

In a bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until smooth and well combined.

Fold in the caramelized onions and cooked bacon into the creamy mixture. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Transfer the dip to a baking dish and smooth out the top. If desired, sprinkle a little extra cheddar cheese on top.

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the dip for about 20-25 minutes or until it is bubbly and golden on top.

Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.

                Prep Time: 15 min | Total Time: 45 min | Servings: 8

                  - Presentation Tips: Serve the dip warm, garnished with chopped chives or parsley. Pair it with toasted baguette slices, crackers, or vegetable sticks for dipping. Enjoy!
