Ingredients

2 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 lemon, juiced

1/4 cup chicken broth (or vegetable broth)

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and black pepper to taste

Chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Seafood: Season both the salmon fillets and shrimp with Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Make sure they are evenly coated for maximum flavor.

Heat the Skillet: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the salmon fillets skin-side down. Sear for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy.

Cook the Salmon: Carefully flip the salmon and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until cooked through (the internal temperature should reach 145°F). Remove the salmon from the pan and set aside on a plate.

Sauté the Shrimp: In the same skillet, add the shrimp. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside with the salmon.

Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: Lower the heat to medium and add the butter to the skillet. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.

Add Liquid: Pour in the chicken broth and lemon juice, stirring to combine. Let the sauce simmer for about 1-2 minutes to thicken slightly.

Combine and Serve: Return the salmon and shrimp to the skillet, spooning the garlic butter sauce over the top. Cook for another 1-2 minutes just to reheat.

Garnish: Remove from heat, and sprinkle chopped parsley over the dish for a fresh garnish.
